Hi! I'm Duan Flanakin, I come from North East Thailand - The Pak Issan area,my village is not far from the border with Laos and I grew up on real Thai food - my family have a farm and I used to run a small restaurant in my village.
I am married to an Englishman and we live in a village just outside Oxford England with our family.
For the last five years I have taught adults Thai Cookery at Bicester Community Adult Education Centre and for two years at Kidlington Adult Education Centre - (both courses begin again in September).
We all love to eat Thai food - yummy yummy - but the best recipe in the world is useless without all the correct ingredients.
I know people living outside a major town with a large oriental population have problems in obtaining authentic imported Thai/Chinese ingredients.
